If there was any doubt that Nebraska football was back it ended at the Holiday Bowl. Nebraska came out and proved that the Texas game was no fluke and they could play football with a dominating drubbing of Arizona. Zac Lee threw a 74-yard touchdown pass to Niles Paul in the third quarter to highlight a 33-0 rout by Nebraska (No. 22 BCS, No. 20 AP) against Arizona (No. 20 BCS, No. 22 AP) on a rainy Wednesday night.
Arizona could only manage 109 total yards against a Nebraska defense that is ranked in the Top 5 in almost every defense category. Nebraska started the defensive domination early and never let up in the rout. Bo Pelini has turned the Nebraska program around and should be highly ranked come next year. His schedule this coming year is not real tough as all the hard games are at home so this could be a very good season coming up for Nebraska fans as well. Looks like Big Red is back in College Football as one of the up and coming teams.
